Manager of Pharmacy Claims (Full Time)

Job Description

You will lead, guide and direct a staff of Pharmacy Claims Specialists in the review, audit and reconciliation of medication claims to ensure that the appropriate information is obtained and that action has been taken to procure payment.


Position Highlights
Leadership role that oversees a staff of Pharmacy Claims Specialists who are responsible to insure proper billing of skilled claims and to minimize the impact of non-covered and non-billed medication costs incurred by our centers.
Contributes directly to company P&L. You will regularly report on the financial benefit to the company of claims recovery, claims volume, and efficiency of claims attempts.
Visible and collaborative position that interacts with Genesis corporate, operations and clinical staff, and the Manager of Pharmacy Claims. Also acts as a liaison between the third party payer, servicing pharmacy and Genesis nursing center.

Pharmacy technician with 5 years' experience working with medications and pharmacy billing required. Ability to work across clinical/billing platforms is required. Experience with skilled nursing facility billing preferred. At least three years of management experience preferred. Working knowledge and ability to develop expert-level comprehension of Medicare Part D (including eligibility, LIS, dual eligibility, transition plans, etc.), and Medicaid billing and eligibility requirements.
